Yes its that time, party party party.....wait that's Beads Beads Beads! So here is the list.
 
Downtown Parade/Harrison Ave/Krewe of Massalina---- January 30th, parade starts at 3:00 pm, we meet at Tommy Oliver Stadium starting at 12:00 noon to party and do final touch ups to the phloat.
address: 440 E 13th Street, on the North side of Bay High School on Harrison Avenue
 
Pier Park Parade/Beach Parade/Krewe of Dominque Youx--- February 6th, parade starts at 2:00 pm, we meet at Seahaven Resort, close to Sharky's on Front Beach Road, we meet up at about 11 am.

St. Andrew Parade/Beck Ave/ Krewe of St. Andrews Kids Parade---February 12th, parade starts at 4:00 pm after the pet parade, we meet behind St. Andrews Elementary School around 3:00 pm.  No alcoholic drinks allowed for the kid's sake.  
 
St. Andrew Parade/Beck Ave/ Krewe of St. Andrews---February 13th, parade starts at 1:00 pm, we meet at Oakland Terrace baseball/tennis courts, we meet up about 10 am.

Rules from the Krewes of Massalina, Dominque Youx and St. Andrews
  • Kids Parade means KIDS throwing to KIDS
  • Wheel walkers your job is to keep KIDS and adults away from float, ask Kap'n Ken, he had to pick up a kid to keep him from being run over by the phloat - cause the driver can't see - so you are the eyes for the driver
  • Drinks--no alcoholic drinks allowed---sooo no open containers.  Some pholks will be drinking their water from plastic cups. Wink
Rules from the Krewe of Margarita Island
  • Parrot Head costume wearers - you will be hugging kids and having your picture taken w/kids/adults and TV cameras - You are representing our club so have PHUN with the KIDS. 
  • Riders - be aware of the thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of people who will be yelling for your beads.  You have 3 parades to provide beads for. 
  • PHUN is a requirement. 
Partying before each parade
  • Bring finger foods to share with the club
  • Drinks--no alcoholic drinks allowed---sooo no open containers.  Some pholks will be drinking their water from plastic cups!  Wink
  • To all you Mardi Gras Virgins, it is recommended not to break your beads apart till you get to the Phloat. Leave the paper tabs on and break them apart as you throw. Why you ask--well lets just say Crazy and I learned a lesson our first year.
  • Clean up is a must, please do not leave a mess - Pack it in - Pack it out!
  • We will need help to do final touch-ups and any small repairs due to traveling from parade to parade
After each parade
  • Please clean up around the area you stand in - Pack it in - Pack it out
  • We will provide garbage bags for trash
  • More Partying you ask, you bet, we all decide where the after party will be, make a suggestion: Grecky's has been suggested for the Downtown/Harrison Ave parade
Mardi Gras Costume Contest
 
  • Each parade we will have a male and female Mardi Gras Costume contest
  • Best dressed, most original, craziest, will receive a Mardi Gras gift flown in all the way from Mobile, oh wait I drove my truck, so dig in those closets, bags, trunks and show your Parrot Head-Mardi Gras touch of madness I know all of you have
