Greetings
What
a great time to be a member of the Panama City Parrot Head Club.
There is so much going on right now both within the club and the
local community. The Board
of Directors would like to take this opportunity to make a few major
announcements. First,
we would like everyone to congratulate Patti Fritchie on becoming a
Regional Communicator for our mother ship, PHIP or Parrot Heads in Secondly,
yes it is true and Margaritaville is definitely going to open in the
next month or so. I just
received final confirmation that Panama City Parrot Head Club will be
the official home club of the Pier Park Margaritaville. We
are not moving our meetings. What this means to us as a club is that
they will fully support our endeavors and help promote our civic
responsibilities. There
will be more to come on this topic.
I have been asked by Margaritaville that as President of the Club
I be the only point of contact for donations or participation in any of
our events. I would ask
each of you to respect their request and help build a wonderful working
relationship with this organization.
If anyone has any questions or suggestions on this subject,
please drop me an email to president@panamacityphc.org. Third,
I would like to personally thank each of the Board members and current
committee members for the work that is going into the 3rd
annual Panama City Parrot Head Rendezvous. As
you know, the cut off for registration is 300 persons.
We are well on our way to that number.
I would encourage anyone that has not registered to do so before
the cut off is reached. This
is an excellent opportunity to show solidarity for the club as well as
our beneficiary Anchorage Children’s Home.
The weekend of April 18th, 2008 is going to be filled
with unbelievable tropical music, beach games, a silent auction, a
cheeseburger in paradise lunch, special guests, fireworks, I am sure a
few boat drinks and an opportunity to “Party with a Purpose”.
