PANAMA CITY PARROTHEADS...!!!
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE MEETING AT GRECKY'S AND it is about time for a PHantastic PHlocking coming up in August. Sin City Lisa is finalizing plans at one of our favorite venues and will be announcing soon .....so watch for her PHun Letter coming soon..!! Requesting volunteers for spots in several PHUN things and will be starting to fill these at the next Board Meeting. If you have interest in a specific area please send me an email president@panamacityphc.org . If you like you can always "Send a friend" !! I will be happy to contact anyone you think might want to help and not sure what the responsibilities are. Need to begin recieving APPLICATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP............... This is open to all members----family----friends---children---and the public. There is an application form to be filled out and a 500 word narrative regarding the 25 volunteer hours performed by applicant (required ,with letter from organization of service) They need to state the the course of study, volunteer work and what they learned and what it meant in their life as well as how they may continue to volunteer. Letter from organization on letterhead documenting volunteer hours may be attached to the application and narrative. Sounds like a lot but 500 words goes very quickly and we will be lenient if a few less......just have them put their heart into it!! They may attend any US institution and must be a full time student. The scholarship is a 2 yr. opportunity if they continue....it is for a 2nd consecutive year for the same student. Will have copies and can be picked up from President , Lil Lewis or from Janice Peek, Scholarship Chairman. Now that you have a "Lot to drink about" I am off to look for my"LOST SHAKER OF SALT" and a few new things for upcoming events. FINZ UP !!!!
